Happy birthday to me

Sorry for not posting, but I was sick and then I forgot:P
But I have made some gifts that I can show off. (although in the form of some bad pictures)

Here is part of a gift, it is now finished, but that is indeed secret.

Bad pictures of bunny-chan, but she has been busy with the snow lately (if there were any treats in it)

My Christmas- card collection. And after this I made three more... Just one stitched card this year.

Here is one of Rhona's designs. And a book I got for my birthday

The card I made for a birthday ^^ I can finally show it to everyone.

Sorry about all the bad pictures.
I finally caught bunny under the sofa, she loves sleeping there when I am sitting on the sofa.

Another one of  Rhona's designs, the penguin series. I made a ornament for a little one. And as you can see I adapted the a to become a norwegian å, since his initial is an å. It is never too early to start your own collection of christmas decorations I thought when I decided all the little ones would get an ornament for Christmas.

The  freebie bauble will come later, because boyfriend just made me some delicious omelette.

/edit/ And here they are:
Gingerbread couple:

It does not take much

Todays post a bit late because I spent most of my day on the sofa sleeping off some sort of bug.

But, I made a birthday- card yesterday. After her birthday I can show off the entire card!

And I have a finish! Yay. I made the stitching about a year ago (or maybe two). But today I whipped out my sewing machine and did this. I am pleased, took me two hours I think, and guess what, I am making fewer and fewer mistakes! The back is just a darker red.
I want to make another pillow- ornament.

And now there is only ten more presents to go!

Look, I am making a list and checking it twice. I love making lists, and I love crossing them out. As you can see, the list in the back is for presents and the one in the front is for cards. I have made four finished presents. (most are secret so I can't show them, but I have made the Star-Trek design for boyfriend, a secret project for my mum, a secret project for my friend and todays angel-pillow)
I have made some cards, but they are not completely done so they are not checked off the list yet.

An Almost finish: Here is my first finished Christmas card, I just need to glue it and write on it. (and decide who the recipient will be)

I am contemplating making these into ornament-cards. But am still undecided.  Might turn into ornament presents;) What do you guys think?

Here are some finished cards. I just used glitter glue and some nice coloured paper and VOILA. As my mum says: Det er så lite som skal til.... which roughly translates to " it takes so little".  I think they look good. And I can't handsew fourty cards and send. So I embroider for a select few, and make handcrafted for some, and the rest, the ones that throw their card away get the store bought ones.

I made this for myself. I love this. ^^ I made three others for friends and now I am thinking about making atleast one more for another present;) ( which is why I can only give you a peek, it's a secret)
Oh, and if you wonder why I make so many presents, it is because I celebrate christmas with a lot of people. Usually about three times per Christmas. And that tends to add into a lot of gifts. Since I prefer to give homemade gifts that is a lot of hard work.

Look at bunny. She loves her hay. While I was sleeping all day, apparently she slept right next to me on the floor. (I was on the sofa)

Another Freebie, I will show one globe each post until Christmas^^

I want to decorate for christmas now, since it is the first advent and all, but my decorations are at my mums house.... :(

Two of a kind

So, my fist Star-Trek pattern is finished. I like the effect of the white sparkling text. Love the blue (although on camera it looks purple) cloth. I adore the ship ( even if I changed it a little in the next wip) What I am slightly ambivalent about is the text itself, I am not too sure about it's placement. So I changed it:

This is my second Christmas-gift finish, (Here is the fist one) almoooost finished. I will get it done before I go to bed, even if it will take me all night!
I like this one better. Boyfriend asked to have his text askew like this, so I did that. His letters are done in silver DMC and there is another little difference between this ship and the one above, can you find it? LOVE LOVE LOVE this design, and I already have the frame for it I think.

I started on my halloween stitch. Here I also changed some of the colours from the chart, because black on black is not really visible. I think this is going to turn out really cool. I want to make the whole set.
Here is a link to look at how it will hopefully turn out :(the design)

Another Freebie, because it is that time of year. I caught boyfriend humming a christmas carol the other day even though he fervently believes in no christmas-songs until atleast December.

And, I made bunny a toy, because all day she has been sleeping next to me on the carpet while I have been sewing (she did that yesterday too, through 12 episodes of Bones season 7) and I thought she needed some stimuli. Now the carpet is full of hay. But I WON, because, she has been chewing on the twigs! And she never does that unless we hold them up for her to chew, apparently, twigs are not interesting on the floor by themselves. Can you see her little open mouth? I love my bunny. ^^

On a footnote, Ben did not win, but not my fault, I did vote once:P
And something else that I have two of now (almost two of finished christmas-gifts, keep forgetting that the blue Star-Trek pattern is a birthday-gift), signed A1 cd's. Yay.

And I will see myself come alive at last I will touch the sky

Now this little pretty has been neglected for a long time, don't think I've stitched on her since we moved houses to be honest, and that is more than half a year ago. All I had left was the backstitching which took me only two days work. I really need to stop putting my projects away just because I've hit the backstitching stage....
I am looking at frames at the moment too, but I have not made a decision, my other Somebunny to love stitch is in a plain wooden frame, and I am fresh out of those. Need to go to IKEA I guess;)

This is the design I made today. Some Selbu-mittens. Recently it has been snowing here, but today all the snow has melted... Hope the snow will come back soon, it is a lot less cold with some snow, and not to mention, less dark! Is it snow where you live? Snow always makes me happy. I feel like drinking hot chocolate and sing christmas songs while I make some homemade presents. ^^

Here is another bauble since the christmas time is fast approaching! I think this one is my favorite, and after all my wip clearouts I am so going to make all of these! Maybe this is the one design I am giving to my mother this year? To make an ornament with this? What do you think? I love it.
(this is the reason this post is not in norwegian, so my mother won't know about the present I am thinking about giving her)

If you are wondering about the title of todays post I can offer you an explanation, me and boyfriend are watching "Star Trek Enterprise" and singing the theme song.
http://www.lyricsbox.com/m-people-lyrics-star-trek-enterprise-theme-song-pqdqscs.html this is really the lyrics, but my boyfriend can't seem to get them right, and sing the line from the title of todays post. It is really quite endearing, and makes no sense.

Oh, yeah, and about the poll, it looks like the bunnies won, so I am going to make them, as soon as the threads land in my mailbox, and then I am going to have a giveaway, yay!

I got faith of the heart

So, since this is bunday, here is a picture of Mimle, a bad cellphone one, but I was home alone, and she decided I needed some company and joined me on the sofa. She sat there with me for a long time while I watched some tv, and stitched....

.....THIS:
And, now, I am finished. A Minnie and Mickey design. I know I haven't shown you anything selfmade in a while. But the course is rather intense, and it is the secret season after all;)

This was an DMC kit. I found some of the red squares oddly placed, so I decided they should be the same on each side so that they were symmetrical atleast. And added some backstitch to areas I thought there should be backstitch, like one of Minnie's ears were not backstitched. Odd. But as always with DMC the threads were nice, the chart easy to follow and the colouring good. Just think the design process should have been perfected a little more before the design went into the shops, don't know if it matters anymore though, since I heard that they will stop selling Disney designs.... ^^

If you are here for another free design, I have another small Christmas bauble in store for you.

Isn't it cute? If you didn't know I love bunnies. And bunnies and christmas do match. I am going to make all of these on perforated paper and hang them on a string :)

Oh, and the poll for some reason does not work, last time I checked the bunnies were winning, so unless more people than four (which were the number of votes on the bunnies last I checked) disagree that the bunnies should win, then they must leave a vote in the comment section of this post. And then we will see which design I have to make. You have until the 31st. Good luck.

Yeah, and we are watching Star Trek Voyager and Enterprise simultaneously, that is where the title of the post comes from. And so far I can say that Enterprise is a lot more fun than Voyager, sorry Kate.

It is coming

Since the first snow this season came here yesterday  (it didn't stay btw) I got a reminder that Christmas is not too far away, at least for us crafters, busying away to get the presents finished in time. So, I decided to get cracking and made a pattern for you. A christmas bauble. I quite like it.
Actually, I made five, but you will see the others next week, so stay tuned^^
