17 Mai here we come

Hi, I have a surprise for you, you might have seen what I have been busy crocheting on these past few days? Well me and *Kio have been busy and are just about ready to show off some of our hard work!

So tomorrow is the big day and now that I am all grown up and don't have to walk in the parade with my school I find I enjoy this day a lot more. I never liked masses of people much but I do enjoy watching them walk on TV at home in my sofa with some festive decorations and ice cream on hand. And so for my new found love of our constitution day here are some patterns that you have time to make before the big day. That is unless you have bunads to iron and food to cook, I don't so I will crochet all evening long in the sofa ^^

You still have time to make these little festive treats so here are some of my free favourites.

I have seen this around for several years and I still think it looks gorgeous ^^
It can be used as a brooch, or a hair piece or a necklace it seems very handy. I like it.

I would love to have one of these in my hair, and I am sure Mister M needs one too.

This seems super easy and I think I could make a ton of these very easily, the little pearl in the middle really makes the bow pop. I love it.

This I am sure Mister M needs. Don't you? I am not sure I could make one by tomorrow as I am not a fast knitter, and I am sure I don't have enough yarn in those colours but next year!

And last but not least, *Kio and I have started an adventure which turns into patterns and here is our very first pattern!
We made a bunting for the festive day and the pattern is free and can be found here in Norwegian and English here.

Still skirting

Still doing my skirt, I am now about halfway I think. It is warm and good on my lap while I work on it which is excellent because outside was minus 17 this morning and inside was only plus 17, so I spent quite a while drinking and holding my tea before my hands were warm enough to move, serves me right for waking up at four in the morning, right?

Bunnies were thrilled that I took out my grandparents old wooden thing to photograph the skirt, I thought it would look good for comparison.
Valmin chinned it....

....then Mimle chinned it....
And now I am not quite sure who owns it anymore.

Well at least I am making progress.
But honestly I would much rather be making a nice big WARM blanket in wool, but that is just how January is right? Maybe a new start is in order, I mean I have been meaning to make a baby blanket soon. Or I should dig out an old WISP blanket?

In the mean time I think I will do a little more on this blanket  skirt.

Lacy Bookmark

I started on making a bookmark out of some leftover yarn from my Pink Granny Square blanket, it was fun, easy and fast, my kind of project. And free too. From here: Drops have lots and lots of free charts both in knitting and crochet. There are a lot of projects on there that I want to try out.

And, I am now a step further down the road of making bigger more difficult things because, this project I did by following written instructions, which I am bad at, I am much better at diagrams. But I did it. And I am sure I can evolve and make more things, eventually.

I think I will make some of these for gifts this year, as you can never have too many bookmarks.

One of my favorite children's books, Farvel Herr Muffin. The guinea Pig looks just like my late Johnathan, the book is really sad because the guinea pig is old and dies. But it is a good book.

Boyfriend thinks this looks like a caterpillar.

ETA: I made some more, I bought some yarn at a sale so I will make some more of these, a blue and yellow for starters.
