Third day of Christmas and third Christmas celebration

Driving in the snow. Did I mention that it is snow! Did I mention I love snow?

We are visiting family again, and so I got tea again, caramel and vanilla, it was really good! Did I mention I love tea? I love vanilla and caramel too.

We played card-games, I won first, then me and my youngest female cousin won together. I love winning. Did I mention I like winning but am a very sore loser?

I finished one scarf yesterday and the second one today and I started the matching wristwarmer and finished one. But there is still two halfs to do. Did I mention I like making things? Did I mention I am not that good at finishing things? Did I mention I love starting new things?

Want to see how the finished hat and beard look on the intended person? Quite handsome, and it fits him too. :) Did I mention I like my cousin? My uncle wants one too now. And did I mention my younger female cousin also wants one?

Tjuefjerde Desember

Today the tea was green with peppermint, orange, cinnamon, roasted chicory, vanilla and Irish cream. Very tasty, and because we cleaned out our spare room I found my Peter Rabbit mug, which I haven't really used much yet, so I am happy.

We are going to meet up with my family and celebrate together, all 12 of us this year. I am looking forward to it.

Bunnies wish everyone a very merry holiday, they got a toy each from Santa today but only the ball was cool and they have almost eaten it up already! Today we are celebrating with a lot of family.

Tjuetredje Desember

Today is the last day and Christmas has begun! I started the day with my daily tea in a mug M made me, it was black tea with cinnamon, rooibos, ginger, vanilla and irish cream, it was very good actually.

Then my mother came and I started on dinner and decorating.

This is a cross stitch I designed some time ago.

Somebunny was delighted that we got a tree, it is from my father-in-lawns yard so it is ok for the bunnies to munch on.

And after dinner we ate blueberries we picked this summer at my mother's cabin.

I know which decoration is M's favourite, can you spot it?

Since I have so many pink items around I decided to have more glitter, pinks, silver and gold this year. The star is from my grandparents so it is quite old.

And since it is the night before Christmas here in Norway we had to of course watch "Grevinnen go hovmesteren", it is equally funny each year and something I really have to watch.

And I am done with another pair of wrist warmers, the two that are left will be done by the time I go to exchange their gifts. And I must confess, I started another scarf, mostly because I thought the scarf I was making needed to be bigger, so I started again in the same coloured yarn and a bigger hook. I have given the rest of the gift and said that the rest will come eventually so there is no rush, just happy hooking with family watching Christmas traditions.

Tjueandre Desember

Today my tea was black wit cardamum, cinnamon, ginger, apple, and caramel. It was quite good, I have spent the day wrapping gifts. This year I have tried to buy more eco friendly wrapping paper made of actual paper that can be recycled. I bought some boxes that the recipient could use after and just tied a bow of hemp.

I used boxes I already had and just tied a bow around with leftover yarn, and attaches a heart from leftover wrapping paper and a couple of croched threes.

This one is simply a used box with a string and crochet threes attached with a clothes peg. I think looks manly and most of the recipients don't really spend too much time thinking about their packaging anyway so why spent so much time and money on it?

I have cleaned and vacuumed the room for our Christmas guest.
Washed the bathroom, done three loads of washing, shined the kitchen, now there is only the living room left, but I need M to carry some boxes into the storage first, if he ever comes home from work that is....

It now looks a bit more Christmassy and welcoming.

The scarf is almost done too!
The two wrist warmers will have to wait since that deadline is on the 27th. But M's need to be finished, but I am sure I can manage that.

And since it is Tuesday tunes today, here are some of my favourite songs that get me in the spirit!

The newest tradition, I have the whole cd of Hello Project Christmas songs, and I love them. Kago on the top of the pyramid is adorable and I love her voice, so happy she is in Girls beat.

I am sad they seem to have retired this song, because it really helps me to get into Christmas spirit.

This is one of the two movies I need to see on Christmas eve whilst I get dressed for the evening.

this is the second. I loved these as a kid and I love them still, in later years the candy eating and dressing whilst watching have subsided and I have started frantically crocheting the last gifts instead.

I really love this musical, although I never saw it complete when I was little, this was the one with the best quality I could find. What I do love watching that NRK stopped showing was "Den spanske Flue" which is funny still.

Tjueførste Desember

I like this mug, although I have to drink my tea rather fast before it turns too cold. Today it was black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, pepper, orange peel, vanilla and apple. Kind of hard to taste the vanilla, orange and apple. I do wish there was more taste in these. I have spotted some places that sell these half off online and I am debating whether or not I would like one. I mean I love having tea of the day, but these are rather bland and boring, so I might just search for other tea-calendars, I have spotted at least one more.

I have finished one half of the last wrist warmers, this one looks big, but that it because it is for M. He has bigger hands than me.

The scarf is now either halfway or one third. I have used up one skein of the lovely red alpaca yarn I bought on sale last time I was up at my mothers.

Oh, and we web-shopped our Christmas groceries this year, and splurged on home delivery, although truth be told, we got a discount and because of that we decided to "use" half of that to have them bring everything to our door. Very time saving when one does not have a car. We would have taken four trips to the store to buy all this I think.

Bunnies smell M is munching on an apple, and although they already got a taste they are trying to get more out of him. Best to stand and eat so nobun can jump up and steal food from ones mouth again.

Tjuende Desember

Yeah, again with the cakes for breakfast, since it is the last Sunday in advent I took out my Christmas mug, today my tea was green with cinnamon, ginger, rose and peppermint.

M went out into the wilderness AKA his parents yard and cut down a three for us. I am sure the bunnies will love it because it is for chewing.

I finished TWO presents today which I am wildly proud of. The last washing cloth for my aunt and the first pair of wrist warmers. So today we have been mostly making our guest room ready for a guest, making presents and wrapping presents.

Sorry about the blurry photo, but holding the iPad whilst trying to push the button was hard. But it is finished, and this was the hardest of them all with a very slow-going pattern.

There is only four days left until Christmas, and I have four presents left to make, think I will make it?
But at least one of the people will get a pair of wrist warmers;)

Nittende Desember

Today is M and me's three month anniversary, and we are going out to dinner and a movie with another pair. Unfortunately for me, we are watching Star Wars which is not exactly my thing but M wanted to see it so we are going. In true marriage style of compromise.
Before we are having sushi, which is awesome, I am more exited about that actually.

My breakfast was a bit more healthy than this, I started with a yoghurt XD
The tea was surprisingly just lack tea, since I have already had that once I am going to assume that there are duplicates of tastes, because all other tea ingredient list were so long it felt like a novel I haven't bothered checking to see if there were duplicates you see.

And I haven't finished anything, but have started plenty.
The last of the washing cloths for my aunt, this one has hearts, I am positive I will finish this in time! So close, I just need to not start anything new...

Wrist warmer mitts for M... Almost done with number one. So this is the last of the wrist warmers I will start and none have a second yet, so I am sure everyone will get only one this Christmas, but that is fashion right?

Oh, yeah, I have been bad. Not the kind santa frowns upon, because in the end it will be good. I started another present, this will be another scarf, in alpaca this time, so hopefully easier than the ones I did in mohair which btw took me about a day to make, so I remain hopeful.
You know, I might need something simple to bring with me to the cinema anyway, right? That justifies a new start, right? Right?

I hope most of you have come further than me with all the presents. But there is only four half wrist warmers, one (or two) scarfes, and the washing cloth left, I can do that in four days right?
And since some of these presents will be given in Boxing week there is still lots of time!

Attende Desember

Today my mother came over for our annual baking day. Usually we do it at her place, but this year we did it here. With my decadent breakfast cake from mum I had my advent tea anti was green with ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, pepper, soursop and orange.
My mug for this day was the one I made myself at my hen-do.

We made these two types, which coincidently is two of my favourite kinds of Christmas cookies. Mum forgot her cookbook so we had to find recipies online, which were unfamiliar so it took a while, but in the end they turned alright. They might very much not last 'til Christmas, but mum left her device to make more so I can make more if they mysteriously disappear...
So now we have five kinds, I am not so sure we will make the last two kinds, there aren't that many types I am fond of, so what is the use of making something no one will eat?

Oh, and I am set for Christmas, I got this from my friend for my birthday, it is a lovely dress, that actually fitted! Even my mother asked if that was my attire for Christmas eve so I guess it was festive enough.

Look, a yawn!
Valmin and Mimle are not the bests hosts, most of the day they hid, but when the humans went for the sofa they ran up and told us there was no space for guests in it. We bribed them with treats so they got down eventually. Little trolls.

Syttende Desember

M made my this mug. I love it!

The Final Frontea-er
Black tea with licorice, cinnamon, cloves, honey and melon in my ST-ish mug. And yes, M is the king of bad puns, it is too bad that I hate the design of the actual mug, it is hard to hold and gets very hot because I would truly love to use this cup more because the paintings are awesome.

I have another finish, I started this last year I think, but there was a mistake somewhere and then it was put aside in a fury and forgotten like usual. But now that I have properly cooled down I was at the point where I would just work with what I had done and made a proper finish.
And yes, another present done, but then my other friend and I agreed to give each other presents. We will see if I find anything perfect or if I make anything perfect;)

Still doing the wrist warmer thing, and the prospect of giving each person one half of a wrist warmer and an IOU seems more and more likely.... I did spend most of the day fiddling with even more little trees you see.

And then I had company over, and we started baking, so we now have three kinds of Christmas Cookies.
We drank tea and watched some Tudors in the mix.

Tomorrow I hope I manage at least another of the seven kinds of Christmas cookies!

Sekstende Desember

Bilde lånt av Google.

 Happy Birthday to me!
Black tea, ginger, cloves, star anise, masala chai, peppermint and anise tea for today. Very good, unfortunately we had a whole day planned and off we went shopping before I could finish my tea.
We now have most of the presents bought.

Bunnies gave me a colouring book with Christmas pictures in it, but I must say they were sloppy with the wrapping, because this wrapper was around my presents on Saturday too XD

On our doorstep there was another package, this one was full of yarn. But alas it was not a Birthday present, it was yarn I bought to finish the last of the presents...

Another thing I bought for me was new curtains, I tried buying them three times but they ran out of stock, I finally succeeded, but the trouble did not end there. I had to go to three stores to try and pick up my parcel before going to the right one...
But now they are here, and hung, and they look gorgeous!

Oh, and the best birthday present, snow! I love snow!

I had tons of cake and am feeling rather satisfied so now I am off to bed.

P.S: I also got to pet both bunnies so I guess I am forgiven, which is also a rather perfect present, the most perfect present would have been bunny licks, but those are scarce around here these days.

Femtende Desember

Today I had an early doctors appointment to take some blood and look at my fingers. They are a lot worse today but it was around minus ten today, but we will see what the blood says.
The tea however was delicious even if the best part was just holding the cup and savouring the heat. Green tea with cinnamon, peppermint, licorice and melon. I wonder if any of the tea's have had the same ingredients in the same quantity yet...

I was ten minutes early for the bus and stood between Christmas trees freezing. Luckily the bus was warm. Then there was more waiting since I took the small bus I was half an hour early, but after waiting for over an hour I went and talked to the receptionist, and apparently my doctor didn't see me and I didn't hear him call my name. I did get to have my appointment though, but I was tired of waiting by then. Luckily I only had to wait ten minutes for my bus again and since that bus comes only once an hour I consider that quite lucky.

This little fella is not so lucky. At the moment he hates me, since I stepped on his fur whilst walking back to the bedroom last night in the dark. But I mean, who can see this little dude in the dark? He seems fine, a bit skittish, he takes his treats and runs. That is normal, he runs from Mimle, but he has now started running from me...:( Guess I need quite a lot of presents and treats to make up for it.

The vet on the phone said to just keep an eye on him, yes I called. So I might not be the worst bunny parent ever, but I do think he needs neon coloured fur, anyone have a can?

Mimle says hi, she can now take selfies.
