Colours that make me cringe

So you might wonder what I am up to? I have been feeling a little slow and sleepy for a while so I went to the doctor and turns out I need more D-vitamin and she is going to give me some pills.
So here is to hoping I can get through the days without the need to take a nap.

I have not been stitching since my last update, but I have been hooking a bit. I now have 8 squares in my ugly looking leftover blanket;)
Even if it looks nice up close.

The colors do not look like in this picture at all, I guess autumn is here for good when it is impossible to take good pictures even during the day. But I am using pink, white, brown, green and purple on this. The green keeps fraying but it is almost used up so I won't buy any more of that particular brand.

I have been making my little floss-stash up to shape. And these are all of my DMC's. It is making me cringe, because I SO want to arrange them by colour and not by number but I know number is easiest when it comes to finding the right colour for the chart at hand. Seriously it is keeping me up at night but I don't think there is an alternative.... Oh, well, the pinks at least look like they belong there. I want to have boxes with all the colours in, but I know I am way off:( But I will one day, just need to get busy;)

Oh, and just because I can, here is bunny. She is happy that we now have her grey bed out again (it is really an extra mattress folded in three, but she loves sleeping on it and leaving tufts of hay there so we have not had the heart to take it away again).

Jurin and Boris

This is this weeks song. For some reason, they have still not put the video up on the Satoyama channel.
(which they did the day after I published my song)
This song along with the Dia Lady one are from Hello!Project but they are promoting Satoyama and being environmental friendly. I love this song, it so soothing, and this too reminds me a little of W. Maybe it is those white dresses? A lot like their Shiroi Iro wa koibito no Iro song.
This duo consists of my favorite current Musume and favorite Egg. (Yes, I know she is no longer an egg, she has debuted already, if you think I have shown you Karin before, I have.  From the last song.

Anyway, I finished Boris from DMC's Woodland folk series. Another one from my WiSP-pile.
I have started on the penguin even if it is not a WiSP, because I need to make more Christmasness.
And I still feel sick so I need something easy and fun to finish. Not finishing this before was just plain lazy. But it is done now.
And it was easy and fun, when I started it, :P And I am happy to see it end. The backstitching was really fast, my kind of backstitch. He looks rather fat from that angle, maybe Boris really is a Borisine (my imaginary female form of Boris), you can never tell with those bunnies, and soon there will be more bunnies. I should add a bow if he is a she. But maybe he is just fat after all, because he is done.

HEAD ON

Today on the blog: Update on Henry, Frederick and the long awaited review of my beloved q snap. Some complaining of a certain company and some bragging about another. Anecdotes about your favorite bunny and a promise. All illustrated by bad mobile phone pictures and spelling mistakes by yours truly.

All Heads look this way!

All heads on Henry's right side are done! Yay! But to be honest I am struggling a bit with Henry, he just does not capture me in the same way his wives do. Might be all the greys. Might be his daunting size... Might be his all around beheading and disposing of his spouses. Might be simply because he does not have a nice dress. I love sewing dresses in pretty colours....

Soon I am going to order the beads to finish everything on this side, before starting on the other side.
I have completely given up getting an answer from DMC and there is no way I am going to call them all the way over there in France. I can't even speak french, and I am pretty sure they do not understand Norwegian. SO thats why I will yell at them on the blog instead. Oh heads will roll, I am not pleased with DMC in this kit and their customer service. So there.

Oh, remember that my Mac-Stitch program was lost when the computer died? Well, the nice people over at Ursa sent me a replacement copy. So tomorrow I will be back to charting some more designs which hopefully will look a bit better. ;)  I am head over heals with this prospect.

Here is my start on Frederick. I am completely done with the shelf between his legs now.
I am hating on the fabric, it is so stiff it is standing on its own when I put it down. That can't be a good sign? I hope it will be better after some handling, but meanwhile it is making me cry. I couldn't even get it to sit tight in a normal hoop, I had to use the q snap and am struggling to place it....
Surprisingly the black aida is not giving me any trouble, just good lighting and something white on my lap and there we go. Last black aida failure might be because I was doing it without natural light....?

Can you see the q snap it is attached to?
I looove q snaps! Easy to put on (unless the fabric is being a pain in the head), and leaves absolutely no marks, I even forgot my stitching in it over night with my stitches covered by the plastic clamps and nothing. No distortion, no creases, nothing. Yay! Since I am lazy to take my stitching off hoops this is a heaven sent item.

I might swap this picture with a better bunny one later;) But this was the only one on my mobile and I am too lazy to get out the regular camera. Maybe a nice headshot? Or maybe a full figure of bunny in action?
This day she let us sleep late too, so pretty happy. And all we had to do was make her a little more space to roam in at night. Yay. If we keep this up we are headed for success in the sleeping full nights department.

Easter is almost over. And there is even candy left over. We did have a visit from the easter bunny. Did you?

Oh, and I am NOT a day late. I just forgot it was Sunday yesterday... I blame it on the easter, all days are the same, at least when they only have names like easterday and not names like Longfriday ( the Norwegian name translated it is Good-Friday in English) which makes remembering what day it is much easier. Who can remember what day it is when it is vacation anyway?

I am human and I need to be loved

I framed "Somebunny to love collecting flowers" from waaaay back here: and backstitching here:

To be honest, the framing was a nightmare, and I sort of cheated, but only because this frame was one of my flea-marked finds and I love love love it....
Even if it was a bit broken at the back so I had to duct-tape the entire thing.  Even if it doesn't fit with the rest of my "Somebunny to love" framings. Even though it might have looked better with a more romantic picture in it, I love it just the way it is.
But all is well that ends well.
( since the duct-tape is no where near the piece I think I am safe regarding aging and glue etc)

Boyfriend tried to eat an apple today. Here is what frantically ensued:

....a bit later we saw bunny running under the sofa with a piece looking stuck in her throat, scared she had actually stuck the apple somewhere, we moved the sofa and saw: bunny happily munching away.... sigh.

Oh, and look. I am even further now, and my 100 stitched aday goal is currently not too much, hope I can show you a bit more of their dresses soon. Or should I go all the way to the right before I start sewing upwards? Haven't really gotten the hang of bigger kits yet...
I want to finish one of the wifes this month. Think it is too much? Oh, and isn't this particular kit suppose to come with beads? Because mine didn't? I have sent an email to DMC but I have not gotten a reply yet. (been three days already though)

I am now at season 3 in charmed.... can not say I look forward to the last episode in season three though because we all know what happens then.... :(
(the title today is from the Charmed theme song, which as you can probably tell is stuck in my head at the moment, that and all of Tuuli's songs. Got her CD for Christmas and am loving it. Maybe I'll show you a song next time?)
