This May

Hello.

My shawl is finished! I think I want to try to make the border, but we will see. My crochet chevron blanket is slowly chugging along, but I must confess my secret project is dragging a bit behind. Mostly because of this:

We started to make the invitations now because the ones for Finland need to be sent soon, but as soon as those are finished I will continue on that secret project.
And since I am done knitting that shawl I am going to start a new knitting project, because my secret project has a difficult pattern I need some easy knits in between.

Also this week I have eaten indian food, watched movies with friends, went to a wedding, spoke japanese wit a couple and ate lots of cake and strawberries. Because of the wedding we were rather tired and had a slow cozy constitution day at home, making invitations together.

Bunnies had fun home alone with haycakes and after they got some Basil, which is always a hit, they even got some strawberry-tops, or rather they begged so much I had to give them some strawberry-tops. Mimle was almost up in my face  desperate for some yummies.

I am glad hayracks still counts as a treat and not only those things that are high in sugar. I know when I was little I was not fooled by adult telling me raisins were treats, they were not treats but boring! So I would have none of it.

Mimle will not leave the haycake in it's designated box but is the culprit behind hay everywhere. She drags her cake from one place to another taking some nibbles here and there... Valmin leaves his in the box like a good boy.

Might be fun to eat hayracks for the bunnies, but not so fun for the humans who have to clean up the fun afterwars, maybe that is where the fun lies for my bunnies, being a nuisance.

Accessorizing the season

I am sorry about jinxing everything. Yesterday I said it was springtime, but today it snowed all day... So I guess I was wrong.  I don't feel too bad about making those hats now, fitting the season and all. I had made the decision to take a break on that snowflake table cloth until it started snowing again so I might just have to start on it and actually finishing this season because of the snow and all.

Here I am knitting a second hat. I am starting to get a hang of this hat business. Yay progress, although it takes forever making in comparison to my crochet skills. But I do remember I used to be really slow at that in the beginning too so there is room for improvement.

Here is the scarf I started yesterday in the same pattern as the last one, and I have high hopes this one will be long enough to wrap a couple of times around the neck and I am making it all for me.

I have made a few flowers too for my secret project. I need more pink in different shades I think, so it might not turn out to be cheaper than real flowers in the end, but it is more fun and less stressful.
If anyone wants to join in and make some for me let me know.

I was going to show you this thing that I made the other day, but as I said it started snowing and I couldn't take pictures outside. Can anyone guess what I have made?

My weekend

I was with my mother last weekend, and we went to a flea-marked. It was very fun, sunny, and we found lots of pretty things, since boyfriend and I are moving again, this time to a more permanent location I thought it would be nice to have some more of the essentials. Like vases, plates and serving platters. Also I walked past over a dozen rabbit decorative things, and only bought one, a pink rabbit to put cotton in you would be proud. Very practial at least that is my story and I am sticking to it.

So we bought some household essentials, they are now stacked in two boxes in my old room at my mothers until we have moved, so I will show you some of the highlights then I think. But I can show you the furniture we bought.
This hat shelf and stool.

I think I will paint the hat shelf but we will see.

I am pretty sure this stool have had its cover removed and redone, because the fabric is lovely. This will come in handy when we have people over for a extra chair and it is perfect for using as a piano bench or somewhere to sit when sewing on the sewing machine. (not that we have a piano, but we do have a sewing machine).

The furniture is now also in my old bedroom waiting for me to pick them up.

My mother and I also did some regular shopping and bought some moving crates and yarn. My mother shoved me a sweater she knitted for herself and as the kind daughter I am I asked her to make one for me too, so she had to buy yarn…;) Not that I heard her complain. I finished my knitted secret project and started on another secret Christmas gift.

Bunny and the box

There is something new in the house.

What is it thinks bunny as she carefully goes to explore. A few dashes back and forth just in case the sounds outside of the leaves rustling turns out to be something sinister from inside the box.

 But it smells yummy...

The yummy is hay! Hay with something else. Must put head as much inside as possible to find out what that sent is….

It is dandelion. The last dandelion from last year. Mimle eats fast, but is still on the lookout as good bunnies do.

Lets hope the dandelions soon start to grow outside, because the last dried dandelion is now officially eaten up…

But no worries.

Remember I said I had a secret? Well, I can spill it now. We are moving in the summer! To a lovely flat with two bedrooms and a porch and even a tiny patch of grass where I can grow all the dandelion I want, or rather all that Mimle wants...

Here are some pictures from the flat I got from the sales paper, it goes without saying (although boyfriend thought I should say it anyway) that this is not our furniture, our house is much more bunny friendly and full of yarn...

A sneaky Peek

So this is my secret project at the moment. One not secret, which is the blanket that still only has five more squares to go, and the secret which will be a Christmas present.

And in two days I might have another secret which I can tell you. Maybe. Keep your fingers crossed.

Have I told you that I might possibly be the worst person in the world at keeping secrets? I am.
And I have had this secret for so long but I guess I can keep it in for two more days.

Other than that, today is the day I am vacuuming up under the sofa, so I guess this is the look I will be getting for the rest of the day.

If I get to see her face at all, I might just get the "speak to the butt cause the face ain't listening" deal.

I & U, Du och Jag Alfred

From the secret-season revealed: One other Christmas present for a friend!
I forgot to take a picture before I gave it away. But when I went to visit my friend she had put the picture up so I ninja-snapped a picture to show you. I adore this design, so cute.
It is this japanese idol group by the name of W. ( Pronounced Double U.) On the left ( in the real picture) there is Kago Ai and on the right is Tsuji Nozomi. (in the cross-stitch it is opposite) My friend and I loved them, and one year even cosplayed as them. Sadly now the group is disbanded and both girls are now married with children. Anyway, this is my first own design, but I could not show it because I really wanted it to be a surprise and if I had shown the design she would have known it was for her.
I made them deliberately as Kokeshi-dolls because my friend has a thing for kokeshi-dolls.
(if anyone is interested in the design I'll put it up)

On Friday, I had some friends over, and one of them helped me to grid my new big project. My first real big project. Can you guess which piece it is? It is from DMC, but that is all the hints you'll get;) As of Saturday, this is how far I got.

This is today, but I hope to make a lot more on it before I'll call it the night,

On Saturday bunny I and I was home alone and she sat on the sofa for a bit letting me pet her, whilst I sewed and watched Charmed. The entire Charmed boxset was a gift from boyfriend and I love it so much I saw ten episodes in a day.

Happy Birthday Mum and secret stuff

So, first I wanted to show you my amazing progress on the "Somebunny to love" project that I have been intently doing. I have faithfully done backstitching as I go, and let me tell you I love the work so far. The bunny looks so squshable :) I want to kiss her little tail.

Look, she has feet now, that you can tell apart. But alas no head, as I like to finish off the right side first.
What is that she is carrying? A whole supply of lunch perhaps?

I have started on a head.
Sadly I did not finish it as was my goal for today, but I did some work on the secret project with my friends as started in this: Can you tell what it is yet?
 Look, look.
The sewing machine was a menace, I really think she (her name is Gerda I feel) is going through puberty. She was making her underthread thingy just turn into knots and I wanted to chuck away my project. But a little googling and I think the problem was the bobbin or maybe the spool was facing counter clockwise or something like that, she is ok now. Stupid thing. Today we properly tried a bit of everything, not like last time. And I must say, cutting was my least favorite thing to do. I like the prettyfying part best;) ( doesn't everybody?)

Bunny is currently running around the room, but here she is, not quite sure what to do.
Boyfriend was eating a mandarin and she wanted some, but could not decide if the smell was nice or not... Obviously we didn't give her any, but she got some nice herbs and some nail-trimmings. Which is to say she spent half the day under the sofa not speaking to any of us.....

Edit/ I forgot the most important thing!!!!!
The new free bauble design!
I really adore bows! I guess that is one thing I learned from J-pop!

My secret Project!

Can you guess what it is?
My first bought Christmas present. So, you will not see the end result until after Christmas Eve.

My first time with fatter yarn. It is so soft. Not like what I inherited from my grandmother at all.
And it is pre-drawn too... So, no counting this time, really relaxing.
