Bookmarking

My bookmark is almost done. And I must say that it looks good even without the extra colours.

I bought a small kit yesterday, will show you later I guess:)
I thought it would make a nice present for Christmas.

I really love this bookmark, I bought a scissor keep from the same range when we were in Bath. But, in the cross-stitching department, bath was a big disappointment.

Summer Holidays

I made another free kit.
Another as in two others. From two different magazines. I LOVE the fox, unfortunately I have already given it away so I do not have a better picture of it.
But it looks roughly like this. ^^And no mistakes either (Yeah, I DID tell you I was not going to inform you when I made mistakes, but I never said I was not going to say anything when I performed perfectly either....)

I want a dog also... I think everyones childhood need at least one furry friend.
There was lots of mistakes in the chart, so I just sort of winged it:P

But there you go, I have been doing things even though I have gone away being touristy.

Somebunny finish

Oh how I love Somebunny. I think they are the most adoreble thing ever...

Thing is though, before I found cross-stitching quite a few of these somebunny exclusive had already been featured in a few magazines. I really need the rest one day. I adore rabbits.

All rabbits a a-go- On the other hand, I am gaga- for rabbits:P

The Blue Lady is finished

The picture is a bit blurry, I think I will take another one tomorrow, but I just had to show off the finished piece.
I said that I would be done by today, so I had to really push myself.

She looks good. But the floss was really stupid and left traces of itself everywhere. I am going to take some tape and try to remove it... Thankfully, I did not pay for the black thread, it was a freebie from a magazine, but still, poor quality fabric or floss makes the finished product look shabby.

As mentioned in the earlier post, she has two sisters and my plan at the moment is to make them too and sew them onto some kind of fabric and make a wall piece....

Any other ideas anyone?

The blue lady

I started something new. It is so hot I needed something small to work on.

I will call her "The blue lady", I figure she will be done tomorrow. I think that I have watched six episodes of "Bones" today too.

I want to make the pink and green one too...

But, best of all, no french knots and limited backstitch!

To my mother

My mother was at a flee market, and bought some frames. And we agreed that I would make something to put in them. And, so I did. This is the result.

Sorry about the bad pictures, but I did not have time to take better ones. It has been raining for the last three days and the sun has hardly shown. And now ofcourse, the sun is out, the rain has stopped, and I just gave the pictures away....

C'est la vie

The angel is from the angel stocking I made for my stepmother last christmas. And I added a star. She has a superman pose. I think that is fitting:P

My mother loved them both.

My secret Project!

Can you guess what it is?
My first bought Christmas present. So, you will not see the end result until after Christmas Eve.

My first time with fatter yarn. It is so soft. Not like what I inherited from my grandmother at all.
And it is pre-drawn too... So, no counting this time, really relaxing.

Labyrinth in the Sauna

This is how far I have gotten on the angel. I had hoped to be done with the wings yesterday, but shouganai na.

I have decided not to tell anyone when I make mistakes on my stitching anymore. At least not when it is unnoticeable.

So, I hope to do a little bit more later.

We have been housesitting my in laws house. And played labyrinth. I won the most. Also almost done with the last earth children's book. We also took a sauna. I Love saunas. It feels so good when you are warm through and through. When I grow up, we have to have a sauna in our house.
I would almost forsake my stitching and yarning just for that....

Is there anything you could forsake your most fun hobby for?

Do not fear.

Look, I am making another angel, to make the first one company. A christmas present to my aunt.

I am flipping the image over in my head as I go from the chart. It is not very easy, but really a lot easier than I thought.

And, in the end I will put a bible verse from "The Christmas Evangelium" not sure what it is called in English, please correct me if anyone knows.

I've been framed!

So, I framed all my cross-stitches. Peter Rabbit and the owls and somebunny to love.
They look great. Boyfriend have gotten the bunnies. And I am giving away the owls for christmas. Don't know about Peter Rabbit yet.

I think the framing looks good. A bit proud of myself.
