Fourteen

Another sneak peak. My hair decorations. I made a bow from the same pattern as the main part of the dress.

The backside is made from some leftover yarn from boyfriends bow and I think it looks good. I just used ordinary hair clips to attach the bow.

Look, I have been busy. These are all snippets from the last week with some green but mostly pink and purples.
And today I started on the maid of honor's bouquet, I think I will be finished by tomorrow.
Boyfriend and I took a walk to the store and stocked up on some candy and food for the rest of the week, and it didn't even rain. It is a mere 20 degrees inside and around ten outside and we are contemplating bringing some of the electric heaters from the storage room, but for today we just dressed ourselves in tons of blankets.

I hope your weekend was fun!

Seventeen

It has been pouring here all day so it has been dark and gloomy although very cozy (inside at least) so the pictures aren't the best, but you get the picture?

I made a sort of blend between a wrist warmer and a bracelet. The idea is that I can get extra warmth of it so that I can have my arms bare, otherwise I would have had to have a sweater or something as I am always a bit cold...

The colour is the same as boyfriends bow and the pattern of the part around my wrist is the same that is used in some parts of the dress. The bow part is knitted with the band around it in single crochet.
Btw, that it the dress in the background. All the crochet is finished! It only needs some tweaking at this point, some ironing, stretching. And then the white ruffle for the bottom needs to be sewn on. But for that I need the sewing machine, so I am procrastinating a little, I mean I have lots of time to spare right?

And then I decided to do another project, because I am crazy like that.

I am making our own cake topper in Fimo clay, because boyfriend was so slow in stating what he liked when I showed him things I liked that we never had time to order them from the other side of the world, but we do have time for me making them, and now he doesn't really have that much to say about the matter;) Although he did agree on bunnies.

I am making something like this:
(I hope)

My ceramics teacher always said I sucked at working with clay, but I have faith in me, I mean, how hard could it be? And I have all the time in the world:P

Take a bow

Yay!
I am halfway! I have finished the front, it needs stretching because even if it is 82 cm I still think that is a bit on the skimpish side and a little bit longer will look better on me I think, (after all I am taller than most japanese women), but we will see when the whole thing is finished. I may just have to make the straps a bit longer to fit.

There is also going to be a little border around the bottom in the end, so I might not need any extra cm to make me feel more comfortable. We will see.

Oh, and I have made a cute little bow, I am going to make a couple more I think. Just in case.
Boyfriend is not sure about it. but he doesn't have all that much saying power. Mimle and Valmin like it so there is three against one. He might just have to gracefully bow down and take his defeat like a man.

After my little break when the front was finished and I faffed a bit with other things, I started on the back. I hope this will go rather quick now that I know how the pattern goes. ;) I must say I adore the colour on both the pink and purple and they go rather well together as well.

Because I have been a good girl this week and checked off a lot of my boxes on my to-do-list I got to buy the newest Norwegian crochet magazine. If I don't fail in my crochet clothing endeavor I might want to make a top or two from this magazine, as well as a shorts or skirt,  (some more skirts from Drops and Ravelry.

We ate tacos today which is always a treat because the bunnies get lots of salad and rocket which only I and the bunnies like so we try to scarf down as much as possible in one sitting...

Mimle's eye seems to be in order, although I have no idea how it looks on the inside of that tear canal. I wonder if it needs to be flushed if it is clogged.... Maybe I need to call the vet on Monday to hear what they have to say about that.

Thank you for the enquiries about Mimle and the crossing of paws we appreciate it a lot. There is nothing worse than a sick loved one.

Bow before me or not?

So, today is Ornament Onsdag, and my little bunny is done. Done, done, done!
I love showing what I have done, even if I am not Q U I T E done.

As you can tell from the title of todays post, I am contemplating wether or not to attach the bow. Somehow the fabric twisted a bit while I was assembling and there is now more white on the bottom than it was. And it looks a bit odd. So should I conceal it with a bow or not?

Please answer in the comments section. :) I will take another picture when decided in good light. Today the weather-gods have been making a rain-dance all day and it has been dripping and drooping and making taking pictures a whole lot more difficult.
Oh, and remember, only one more day of the giveaway!
