Cats in a pot

Look what I made! Is done :) Potholder for friend. And it is no longer a Christmas present, but a friendship-present. Because I love my friends. Look at the fat cat^^ He looks like a little pig.

So a project I have is to make five pairs of these potholder duos. For my best friends. Some will get granny squares, but I am hoping to make a couple a little more challenging, like maybe some ripples? This cotton yarn is really difficult because the strands separate so the weaving in of the loose ends are killing my arms. But I manage. A little at a time is my motto. One end at a time;) The yellow cat needs a face and ears, but what do you think about its little bow? Should it be a ear-bow like little miss kitty-chan or a neck bow?

It is the continueation of the fun

I made it into something.... And no surprises to anyone, I made it into a bunny. :P

Don't stop me now! I am having such a good time!

Happy mothers day, and valentines day.
In advance. I like being in advance.
Today me and my friend started doing quilting. We made two blocks of hearts and started on another. ^^

Hopefully we will continue learning very fast and soon make pretty things. Now the things I make are not so pretty, but I am a beginner as Yaguchi-san says.

It is the season. I made this. When it is finished it will be a mothers day present. I think she will like it, especially because she is not the keenest sewer.

And hey, it is my first try. A bit crooked but nonetheless a pretty little heart. The red fabric was wonderful hearty. The colour is spot on.

Almost all the fabric we used are curtesy of my friends mom who is the best quilter in the country. (In my opinion)
We used paper as well. It was so much fun! And I only argued a little bit with my sewing machine! I used to think machines hated me, but now I know different.

The blog is called sentimental bunny. I am making a truly sentimental bunny today. The flowery fabric is something my mom and I made years and years ago, in 1997. It was a table cloth, and then it sat on my rabbits cage. Where my dear little rascal flexed his teeth on it. There are several holes where you can see his little teeth marks. I have tried to use the fabric so that I can see the marks. I love that little bunny. So, a sentimental piece. The yellow fabric was something I once bought. I have had this dream about being able to use a sewing machine and sew for years, but it was too hard. But look at me now! Yiihaa.

My cross stitching lately

My birthday present. I love this, it is a gorjuss kit, and even though there are too many different whites it is lovely. :)
LOVE the rabbit.

Christmas present for next year, bought it on a sale and have not started, since I have never made a table cloth before I am a little anxious about starting.

Owls. Guess for whom? I just had to make them, they are so adorable. Don't know what to do about them when done either, any suggestions?

The boyfriend bunnies. I love them, they are a somebunny to love kit and was supposed to be done by Christmas, but I hope to have it ready by Valentines. Ganbare?

Eskimo Kiss, I even love the name^^ Oh to be in love with just some words:p I am so wonky.

Speaking of being in love. This is my newest love. I sooo want her.

Please I have been really good this year?

New Projects

New project, well newish. It has been going slow, but I am up to 44 squares. All in pink/purple with a little white for emphasis.

Not yet decided on how to arrange them, but as you can see, it will eventually be a blanket. All in pink. Oh, how I am loving this blanket. More an more for each square. And as you can see my granny squares are a lot alike. Some colour combinations have been used six times! No to make it look random but still consistent.... I will have to make several tries. But I still think the numbers of squares have to be doubled. What do you think? It measures approximately 40x60 cm I am guessing.....

It might turn out as a future baby-blanket for my kid or if I can make enough squares a blanket just for me. Haha. I have a button on the first. I tend to get fed up easily. Which is why it has been on hiatus for six months.... Found it when my other baby alpaca blanket was almost done. Then that blanket was hurriedly done so that I could focus on this blanket. Me a fickle? No? ;)

And this is the most wonderful yarn ever, Viking Alpaca super something.
I love it. Just one and a half square and it is done. I was doing Lucy's joining as you go, but I failed... Better luck next time, nee?

And btw, boys can use pink too. Pink/Red was a boy colour before you know, and blue were for girls.
