Choo-choo

It is finish Friday! And I have a....

....start. 315 stitches per row. Sorry for the poor quality photo, but there isn't much light here in the evenings.

But it is on my 2016 wish list.

But I do have a semi-finish, not much bigger than it was about a year ago but I think it is big enough for our table, just need to weave in some ends.

Next stop: ending station, good night from the bunny train.

My Snowflake Table cloth

 Is getting there.

So as there is only one month left of winter I am hoping to finish this soon. but I am making other things as well so might take me a while. But as soon as I finish something I will upload to for you to see. I think I wan't to start cross-stitching again soon.

This might be a January in years where I haven't started on Christmas presents yet... o.0

It is a little further than this now, but I hope it will last all the way to the edges. The yarn is sadly discontinued. I still have some in gold though. 

I love making things that are in season even of that means the item won't be finished until next time it is in season, oh well. :)

(I need to see if maybe eBay or something has more of this sparkly yarn in this colour because I would love to make one smaller than this too. And perhaps more like a hexagon than a rectangle.)

Happy New Year from Us

 A little late, but I am never on time, I am either way ahead or way behind on everything so it fits that I am wishing you a happy new year a little into the new year.

We got these lovely mugs from my cousin for Christmas and I LOVE them, looks just like boyfriend and me.

This year we are buying a little more of our flat, I am contemplating a new phone and we bought a new iPad, or rather I did.

Valmin seems happier lately, he is fat and hopping about. He flops next to me now, and binkies around at night doing the 500 lap with Mimle doing the same some time later.

They love waking boyfriend in the morning jumping on top of him, while Mimle frantically tries to smoothen our duvet with boyfriend still in it.

They are both spoiled rotten and will jump you for treats. Also they both come when I call their name... Probably because I = Treats.

Here they are destroying their Christmas present :) 

I have a finish, first thing this year. I used up some yarn I had left and made a small table cloth, Mimle and Valmin investigated. Both were unimpressed. I am thinking of using some more of the same leftover yarn in different colours to make more round table cloths and stitch them together with this one. I wonder if that will make a nice effect or not... We will see.

Last Minute gifts

Did I mention I got lots of leftover yarn from my aunt at my birthday party? Inside were two skeins of this yarn, the grey orange yarn turned into pink at the end so I used the pink that turned into purple yarn to finish the table cloth and I like it. I have no idea what yarn this is because they were the only yarns in the bag without the tag with them. My aunt is really good with details and having things in order, all the yarns that were the same where in the same plastic bag with labels with them. I wish I was as good when I stashed my yarn, saving the label.

Some of my birthday cards, and the swap card. I love them, they are currently on the bureau I painted which I showed you last time. Looking at them makes me really happy. :)

Sorry for the bad pictures, but boyfriends camera is somewhere else and my mobile takes bad pictures when there is no light.

Oh, and another last minute gift, I made these last night, watching Star Trek the original series, boyfriend does not want to start rewatching Star Trek with me, so I started on my own. Two coasters, one in the TNG font and Picards catch frase, the other I tried to do in the Voyager font, but it was too difficult so I just did my own font. I wish the red one was a bit more in the middle than it is, but I think they turned out ok. As they are I think they are good gifts for the nerdy couple.

I need to buy more coasters, making them is so much fun, and they are useful, which is a bit difficult sometimes to make cross stitch into, useful items I mean.

Oh, and there is snow now, so I am getting into the Christmas Spirit.

Remember not to get them wet though.

Given with some tea or coffee this would be a great gift. I wonder if there are any more Star Trek related beverage sayings...

Only two more gifts to go and one day to make them. One of my gifts I have given up on, (not my fault  the recipient asked for the gift two weeks ago only) so I will just gift the yarn and tell them I will make it asap. 

Oh, and I just got the best Christmas gift. My inheritance. Yay me, all done.

A little on a lot

I have done lots of different things, but not finished one of them. My goal this week is to finish the page on Henry, which is just where the invisible line is, so I just fill in from up the dress and up to the other lady's arm.

And I have done a little more on this project that I started a little before Christmas, I think I may be halfway now, depends on how large I want the finished item to be. But when I finish I will have another Christmas present. Not quite sure who will receive it, so I can show you this.

I hope it will turn into a table cloth or table runner. The crochet in the back is my bunny blanket, I  have finished another colour on that one, see I told you I have been doing a little on a lot.

And I was a little bored, so I started another granny thing, I have no idea what to turn it into, a scarf, a pillow, a blanket? Anyone have any ideas? It is a lovely little acrylic yarn in nice muted pastels. Not quite sure about the white, but if I only use it a little it might blend in.

And so I have no finishes, a start, and some continuation on some projects. The moving date is looming closer and closer and I feel way over my head… I want to be done with it already because we are at a point where we can't really do anything more until we have the keys to the other place….

Oh, and Mimle has a date planned, with an adorable harlekinish rabbit in July. I hope they will turn into a happy couple. Today she spent ten minutes washing my feet while I was on the computer. She is a sweety-pie.

I got some spare thread from my cousin's wife as she is doing the same kit.

Now all that is left is the finishing. But I will leave that for tomorrow. :)

Oh, and Permin did give me the thread number, just turned out I didn't need it after I was gifted some. Guess I won't be needing the thread that is on the way in the post either that I ordered to give to my cousin's wife so that she could finish her table cloth….
