Out and adventuring again

My friend *Kio and I decided to go out today and be artsy, so we went to gallery Format  and saw an exhibit called within a matter by several artists. We had seen this article and wanted to see what Elin magically made with her grandmothers yarn, but sadly none of the works featured in the article was in this gallery, well except the white thing that looked like a wedding dress which I thought was pretty cool. There was also some great graphic art on the wall, some neat pottery and some ceramic water fountains that looked a bit like a mens urinal. But best of all it was free. While we were there we went to the art thing next to it too and they had lovely fabric and cat pillows.

Then we went shopping for the next part of our adventure....

For the royal, yup, that is us!
Also I got something more for the giveaway prizes, for those of you who have not given me their address please hurry.

V for Finurlig is on it's way. Watch this space.

*Kio also worked on something for next week.

Later we met with Evi and had coffee and did some shopping and was not in the least bit hampered by our credit cards being empty and not working...

Today I can't count but does that count?

Hello, says bunny, she likes to get attention and since I have been out today she is a little diva and demanding attention constantly.

But
My scarf/shawl is finished! It measures 1,54 m long and 0,40 m wide and weighs a little under 200 grams. Yay! I started this five weeks ago but since I concentrated on the large blanket this got only a little love. *Kio helped me start it but I remembered how to do the decreases all by myself which is a big step forward with my knitting skills.

Here is the scarf outside our apartment, I used two skeins of Katia Azteca which I got on sale from Panduro. My mother also bought some, I wonder what she will make.

Next time though I think I will make the increases every sixth row instead of four, but here is the pattern anyway if anyone wants to try it... I want to make another, but I need to buy a bigger knitting needle, I need a circular 6 I think...

Waffles is the best!

I mentioned I was out and about, since I have so many finishes I could buy some yarn so I met my friend Evi for coffee, shopping and a trip to the library. And I did do lots of shopping.

Now on my bunny blanket I used 10 balls of yarn and the scarf used 4 so I could buy 14 new balls of yarn for my cat afghan, too bad Nille had a sale... Does this look like 14 balls of yarn? I am blaming my dyscalculia;)  these 24 balls are in cat colours, but I bought some that were just on sale and not cat colours because I had to buy 10 for 100 kr and most of those were not in cat colours. Teehee. (I might be only showing you the cat coloured yarn I bought and not the others, so I might have bought more than 24 balls of yarn)

And I bought a box for my yarn, which Mimle hated and tried to bite through, so much for buying something the bunnies would leave alone. You see I wanted a wicker basket but Evi said that would be eaten up within the week and since I agreed this little box came home instead. But we put it away by the sofa and Mimle hasn't found it yet. Hah. I win.

Some of these colours I am sure will turn into presents, (Some of these I already had)

So: 14 balls of yarn out
and 35 in?
Oops....
Obviously I can't count, (this number may also be wrong) so I better use up some more yarn, because I want to use more than I buy!
Wait, I have given away 8 balls of yarn too from my stash so that counts right?
So only 22 out and 35 in, better, but still room for improvement I think.

And I have made another pattern repeat on my kitties in a row afghan and some only white shrug.

Happy Merry X-mas

Gifts have been given and received, well wishes have been uttered all around, good food and treats have been devoured and family have been met.
My guest went home today after breakfast, and M and I have been lazing around all day in pyjamas using our gift just like Christmas the 1st should. It is a tradition of mine and most of Norway I think.

I had strawberry tea given to me by M in this years best mug ever given to me by my mother.
(it is an Elsa Beskow mug)

We watched some great Norwegian films, a comedy called "Den spanske flue" which to my happiness was shown this year, M had never seen it, but he laughed a lot alongside my mother. It was as hilarious as ever, I L O V E that play, not just for Christmas, nostalgia or tradition but it is actually funny.
And then we saw "Reisen til julestjernen", we had to tape most of what is shown on Christmas Eve just because we didn't have time to watch it then. This movie is mostly just tradition, I like watching it, but it doesn't get my undivided attention. Tomorrow I am hoping we get to see some of the eastern European Christmas tradition films.  I love Christmas!

I had TONS of cakes, this beautifully decorated lot was given to me by my friend Evi, look at those cute bunnies, and edible glitter! (glitter was something I was given by someone else, so I am so baking something this Christmas, hopefully with M)

And I so very very close to finishing the last two scarfs, yes two, I know I said I was making only one, but then it was too narrow for the person I felt, so I made another.
I am very sure I have made almost 50 of those trees.
Later when I am done with all the presents I will make a recap and we will see just have much I made, and considering I only started in October in earnest I feel I have made a lot.
I know much of my gifts have been well received which is always nice to hear.

I hope you all are having a happy merry Kurisimasu.

Trettende Desember

Guess what I woke up to? Mimle biting her gate frantically, after we woke up we saw why.

The gate was open, and this guy was in the livingroom! Mimle was just telling us, she of course did not open the gate or go into the livingroom! But I think it was her after all.

M and I had tea for breakfast, it was good!

Today I had green tea with cinnamon, ginger, cardamum, nutmeg, cloves, pepper, pomegranate and lemon. It was good, citrusy teas are a great morning tea I've found.

Later my friends came over and we celebrated our birthdays, we had dinner, cake, tea and lussekatter since it is after all Lucia today!

I got to use our fancy dinner plates that needs to be hand washed, Fits with our pretty Marimekko table cloth, I do wish we had matching drapes, but I am on the verge of giving up on those...

We saw Christmas movies, Love Actually and the Grinch and crafted things. It was lots of fun. But next year I want to make something together, like a real workshop. Let's try to start in November?

I want sparkly nails too! I got blueberry tea and it was good:)

Last year *Kio won the almond in the porridge and got yarn, she made these for us! Mine has hearts!

Don't we look smashing?

Btw I am trying out blogger on the iPad, we will see if I need to redo it or not!/ edit/ Yeah, I gave up on that, long posts need a computer I guess:(
