Header to go

It was WiSP Sunday again today, but I felt that rather than work just a little on something without a due date would be silly particularly since this is SO close to being finished. Which is why I finished the last of the little pictures. Now all that I need to do on this is the header and some small backstitches, but you won't see the end result for a very long time. Because as you know this is a "not so secret project". But eventually those of you with good memories and patience will see it. Good things come to those who wait, etc.

Today it has been raining with the not so odd thunder and lightning.

Today was Wisp-day

And I did do some Wisp-ing.
This little guy came out of hiding and I did some white on his dress. I am liking this project and I think it will be fun to do the couching on it. Learning a new skill makes me happy. I am hoping to finish this in time for Christmas. And even when he is just occasionally outside I think it is do-able. See, I can make long term goals too.

Fred! I love Fred. I worked on him yesterday (after I finished the entire page on Henry that I said was my goal, yay, a goal achieved. ) and a bit today. ( Yes, I know today was Wisp-Sunday, but I am allowed to deviate a little from my plan right? ) I have done all the greens and reds on the right side of the picture. :) But I just had a realization, which is, they have been a bit skimpy with the fabric. There is at the lowest 20 holes from the end of the picture and to the end of the aida. Not that much to go on:(  I am pretty sure it is not the wrong way or that I have miscalculated when gridding him. Because every which way I turn him, there is not much to go on... I know that when finished I can sew on more fabric for when I frame him, but I just felt really miffed when I saw how little leniency I had in aligning him perfectly in the middle. Oh, well, I am sure he will look good finished anyway. Even if I have misaligned him a little bit. It is just one of those little things that bug me.

So, it has been a while

And while I am perfectly aware that it is WiSP Sunday here in the warren, I had no WiSPs to do... So instead I gave Henry the old dust off and persevered.

And if we pretend that we don't see the half-finished Tudor rose in the middle right of the picture I can (almost) honestly say that I am atlast halfway through! Yay. And it took me six months to do.

Now, you may wonder what happened to all of my secret WiSP-projects and think that I plain forgot I had them, but, I did tell you Secret WiSP number two was finished, and secret project number two is so utterly boring I DID plain forget.

Lets move on shall we, and I will unveil Secret Project number two:
Tadah!
My dear friend got this as a present for finishing off her librarian degree. Yay you.
Alas she is still not in frames as I of yet have not found one worthy of her (or my friend) But I will keep looking. Meanwhile I suspect little lady Gorjuss books is lying somewhere in a drawer in my friend's room sitting pretty.

I leave you with my little lady, munching happily away on some parsley stems. Don't mind the clutter, she is in the habit of re-decorating after we have cleaned the house. ;)

On a roll again

I am so on a roll, I remembered to finish my bird, do WiSP day AND, well, actually that's it.

And I did it, the bird is done!

I found this too, it is almost finished and have been for quite some time, thing is, all the threads are missing, and since the threads came with the magazine I felt lost. But then I saw that they had helpfully added a DMC thread-key, so I decided to look through my stash. Which is small so I did not have high hopes. One side was about 90 % done and the other about 50%, I could not just choose some colours because it is mirrored so both sides have to match... I contemplated that for a while and felt like I was lost at sea when I finally took the dive and looked through the stash. And lo and behold, I had ALL of the pinks! :O Colour me surprised... And most of the greens too, the only green I did not have was the sea green one used on the gate. And I am buying that, since I like to use the colours I buy and not just stash them I am going to multitask and incorporate them in secret project number 2.

And, I have done some more on my WiSP, I am going to have to take a break on this while I buy some floss. Maybe not a big break, maybe I can do some backstitching? I have already decided not to do the background on this because I feel like the coloured fabric is enough:)

On another note, I am rewatching glee, and boyfriend came home, he for some reason got the vibe that I needed to be serenaded to and chose to sing. " Oh my darling Clementine" but since poor boyfriend knows absoultely no lyrics what he did end up singing to me was: Oh, my darling, oh my darling, oh my darling never mind..... Not quite the romantic song I had in mind. He made up for it later by doing "Magic carpet ride" with me on singstar. I pwned him.

Here is bunny and boyfriend having some quality time together. Free range bunnies are awesome! -"What did you do yesterday?"
- "I tried to eat an apple and had a bunny on my shoulder".
Best conversation ever.

Sunday shines for you

Regarding the title, I know it is really monday. But I am allowed a bit of creative headlining? And technically this post is up so late in the day that it is monday anyway...
Today, the sun shone, Yay, I think spring is really coming out. And about time.

So, I did not stitch the entire set on this that I said I would, because I have not stitched much today, I have been doing housework. Which is a bit dull, and boyfriend and I have played on the PS3 which was very fun.
But I am planning to stitch abit more before bed. :)

Look at Henry, I am done with all the grey's on him, finally, and all I have left is his arm. Now he does seem a bit disproportionate in this picture, I mean, who has such broad shoulders? But then again he might have padded them somehow... Like they did in the 80-90s. He was after all the most handsome man in all of Christendom at the time, so he might have had shoulders like boulders, or he might have had a foreseeing fashion sense and started the padded shoulder look before his time.

Look at my bunny. Just the backstitch to go.... Just like everybody else, I love this design, but I HATE the backstitching on it... But it is going to be so worth it, just like in all of Margaret Sherry's designs.
 I love her designs. :)
I have one of her books too, but there were far to little bunnies in the book, a shame because I think her bunnies are the best from her range. (but again, I might be biased)

So. I took Fred out for a bit, but all the black on black action was starting to get me down. So I gingerly started on a book instead, can you see where I started? There is a LOT of blending of colours on this design. And I wonder what will happen if I run out of one colour since it is not done in anchor or DMC... Want to know something that almost threw me off Fred? The colour that is used the most in this kit is BLACK. I am serious, there was like six times more black than any other colour... I am hoping it will be worth it in the end, even if I feel bored at the moment.

When I am done with Secret Project Number 2, I have another design in mind. I found this from here. And I just could not help myself. I bought the magazine it came from on the ipad, and I am now in the process of kitting it up. I have also finally bought from sew and so those beads needed on Henry and since it is a bit stupid to just buy small things I bought a Just Nan limited edition bunny, because it just screamed to me.

Late Bunday

As you can probably tell I am bunny sitting. The reason we are up all night is because we have to see if she needs more pain-killers. So far I think she can manage without. Still force feeding her, but the poops are coming. I think she is starting to dislike us. LOL. Everytime I pick her up and place her on the table for feeding time she shows her disgust in the frantically rearranging of the towels... Or biting my sweater....

Bunny on the toilet.
(we have not seen much blood in the urine today, so am happy)
She keeps trolling us, whenever she sees that we are coming she hops into the toilet because she knows we'll leave her be in case she is doing her business ).
Here is the critical care, boyfriend went and bough more syringes the other day, and look, they are purple.

I am actually a bit further on Henry than this picture says. I am done with the Tudor rose and the yellow on the left side too. Just on the leafs now.

My secret project. How about those purples? This is what I have been doing on my WiSp day.

And on Saturday, I finished this Easter piece. Next Ornament Onsdag, I will make it into an ornament.
Currently I am gridding Frederick the literate. But I am frogging more than I get done. I think my brain is a bit tired. But atleast I am blogging on a device that has a dictionary and autocorrect so I don't really have to think....  Three more hours until boyfriend is up.
