Finishing touches and Henry revisited

My finishes just keep coming. And I haven't started anything new either! Just doing my wips like a good girl.

Let me show you:

So I finished this card, and I picked up again another card that I never showed you, but I will after it is finished:)

I really like this card, and I know just the person to give it to too. Someone who loves cats. Which is not a spoiler because all my friends love cats and boyfriends family does too.

Here in the basement Mimle is still having fun with her water and flavoring it…  This time it was Oxbows Botanical Hay flavor, and it was really delicious says bunny.
I just vacuumed so I hope it will stay hayless through the day. But I would not put any money on that;)

I also picked up Henry again. That Tudor rose which has a mistake is still bugging me, so I decided to do what I did on the Somebunny rocking horse, just continue somewhere else where there were no mistakes and leave the mistake for another day when I love the piece more because of it's progression.

Henry's cape is almost done now. Then only three more wives to go and a border. Yay. I can do it, I can have it finished this year!
(please don't make me remember I said that when I fail and panic start some Christmas gifts;) )

Now, I wonder where I placed all those beads, they were not with the floss:S I am fairly certain that they are in a rabbit container on the bookcase, I am sure I haven't packed them up yet at least so they should still be in the apartment somewhere….

A Start and a Story

I deceided to show you a preview, currently I am cross-stitching a card for someone that came in World of Cross Stitch number 214. So far all you can see is a bird and some scattered brown dots.
And I do not have to justify small starts like this because cards are always allowed, so there!
I haven't really much to show for the past few days, we have been on a couple of walks, trips to the store, done some housework.

Oh, and Mimle almost died.
Silly bunny ate pellets yesterday and almost choked on them. She is a ravenous little bunny who loves food. Honestly sometimes I think she thinks she is a hamster the way she stuffs her cheeks full without chewing. Anyway she was munching away on a really big pile of pellets stuffed in her mouth when I saw she was having trouble, she started to spit the pellets out and I saw her looking like someone who wanted to throw up. I knew something was wrong and went to put her up to perform the bunny heimlich , but before I could reach her she shot under the sofa. Boyfriend helped me to get her out from under there and I studied her in my arms. She seemed fine, she breathed normal and her lips and nose looked a healthy pink. I opened her mouth and saw only teeth so I assumed she was ok for now.
I studied her for a few more minutes where she was back to eating hay with pellets in between, (as opposed to before where she was munching them up from the floor without chewing).
I called the emergency vet who said that since she could breathe and was not yet dead she was most likely fine. If there was something unthawed in her belly it would be pellets and easily digested so I was not to worry. He also told me what to do if it happened again.

Mimle is on a no pellet diet for a while now, and minimal treats too, because she has apparently not learnt her lesson and eats treats with the same vigor and no thought to chewing.

And just to be on the safe side, she will soon go to her annual vet appointment and I will have them look at her teeth thoroughly, just in case…

Stupid bunny, I think my pulse has barely gotten stable.

Friday roundup

Want to hear what I have been doing? Except not making much and celebrating my birthday.

Remember this little dude? He now has a home. And his new owner is happy, but the other rabbits in the household is now demanding rabbit ornaments of themselves too.

And here is my assorted birthday card wall. I love them all. ^^
And I have gotten five christmas cards. And did you know? I finished all 25 cards in time and got them sent on the 16th which is the last post day that they can guarantee that it arrives in time for Christmas.
I was so in a hurry I forgot to take a picture of the last cross-stitched card.

Tomorrow I am going to finish finish the last of the presents. There is just some minor sewing machine fun left. And I am done buying presents too, boyfriend apparently has two left. (one of them is me).
So maybe he has to go to the mall tomorrow, I am only going to the store for dinner.

I am really hopeful that we can finish everything in time this year and have some fun.

Here is a photo of Mimle enjoying her advent calendar.

Another Wip down

Yes, I had only a few lines left to do on this, and other than me and backstitching not really being on the best of terms I have no idea why this took so long. But it is finished now, and only one more wip to do before I can start that cute little penguin card that I got in this months WOXS. (207)
Even if we pretend it is still summer, Christmas will soon be upon us and it is best to prepare so you have all the gifts and cards on time.

But I will go back to the bunnies I am doing, maybe I will be done this week so I can start on the holiday preparations.

I kept smiling because I didn't want you to hate me

So it is Tuesday tunes again, and I have two songs that I like this week:) The first is in Chinese and the other in Japanese. Edit/ I found the actual music video for the Chinese one, and it has a Alice in Wonderland theme. #happy

And since this is a stitching blog, here is a little guy I've been working on:) He is worked in one strand, which I don't like, but as he was a freebie and I don't have enough spare thread I just have to live with him looking a bit faint. But if I make him again I will make sure to use two strands. :) I love somebunny to love so I am certain I will make another if someone I know will give birth to a little boy^^

And I have made the bird from WOCS 204, but I as it will be a birthday card for someone who occasionally reads my blog I will not show you a picture. (most of you know how it looks I presume  too so)
But when gifted I will maybe out it up in my cards section.

The title today is from the above song, my favorite line from it, and I really can relate to it, but other than that it has no deeper meaning for this post.

Hold on, its bunny time

So Happy Birthday to me.
(which is not until December, but since I need a bunny card and I usually don't get enough bunny cards for my birthday I made one myself. Usually people just say that it was hard to find so they got me this teddybear/kittycat/random turtle, but I still wanted a bunny, I buy cards all year long and keep stored for when I need them and personally think everybody should)
I am not ungrateful mind you, it is the thought that counts, but I take matters in my own hands and shall make more bunny cards for when I feel like I need one;)

Bad picture, but hey, a finish is a finish. No matter how bad the picture. I love Margaret Sherry designs and the backstitch was not as bad as I had imagined since I got new gold plaited needles....
I am going to bed now, after bunny gets her cuddles that she has been not so patiently waiting for and nudging after.

Late, gomen nee

Sorry I did not post on sunday, but our computer died a bit and I am having a bit of trouble uploading pictures from my ipad... Just one will have to suffice.

I am in an easter exchange on my cross stitching forum, inicially I wanted to make a bit more complex pattern, but then I remembered I saw this beauty in CrossStitcher celebration magazine. I made the egg myself using variagated floss. I am quite pleased with this card:) Tomorrow it will be sent of in the mail along some norwegian chocolate. I have even been so good and not eaten any of it.

On a Henry note I have been stitching a bit but not 100 today. Most days around 200, so I am happy and can allow myself one day off.

In my course I am a bit stumped, because on the death of the computer we lost our cd player, and I need it to finish my next chapter.... But I am loving it.

Oh, oh, and in three to four weeks MY computer will arrive on the door. I can't wait. I have been so good saving. We bought extra disks too.

Another news I have subscribed to one cross stitch magazine, I love getting things in the post, which may be the main reason I went into this easter exchange:) Suprise Parcels are the best!

Mimle is really molting. I found fur on the insides of my glasses and hay in my hair yesterday, but things like that make me the happiest in the world. Can you tell I am happy today?

Teacup Kitty

It is done. My teapot Kitty, sadly I cannot show you a picture of the finished card because we are moving houses you see, and in all the hustle and bustle I have for some reason misplaced the card. Or packed it somewhere.....

But that also means that this blog and all my crafting will be on hiatus for about a month while we move and move back.
