My friend *Kio and I decided several months ago to make our friend a wedding blanket for her wedding and we were going to use this CAL. We were going to make one each of as many squares as we thought we needed and then join them together into a blanket. Here is *Kio's square.
Square number One.
Odyssey. Pattern on Ravelry can be found here.
It weighed 31 grams.
This square was my first and I remember I had lot of fun with it. Even if I had a little trouble making it... you know... square.
We bought our yarn at Søstrene Grene and the yarn is highly recommendable although they sell out their colours fast and when they are gone they are gone so buy more than you need, which is something we learned the hard way and the reason why there is suddenly some more colours in this blanket. We know our friend loves blue so we bought all the blues we saw and some greens, this blanket reminds me of the ocean in its colours.
One of the very fun things was to look at what colours the other person chose and where they chose to put it, sometimes we made almost identical squares and sometimes they were total opposites.
One of *Kio's squares look like a star and mine looks like a flower, but I will let you know when that one comes!

I absolutely loved the colours of the blanket, it is indeed ocean-y, and I love the ocean as well so all in all not so strange ^^
I hope it will fit in your new home, but since it isn't finished you can make the room match the blanket;) it was a lovely wedding, I hope it was everything you dreamed of!
